My dear Mrs Reid
I was going to you this morning but am prevented - & I write therefore to thank you - (which I ought sooner to have done) for your cordial note & to tell you with what pleasure [page 2] I anticipate a visit to you - it would be more convenient to go to you on Saturday than the Friday - if quite indifferent to you - but if you have made any engagements which in any way depends on me, I will be [crossed out - ?] ready for you on Friday - the truth is I am overwhelmed with family business - & can scarce get thro’ it all before Saturday - but you shall yourself decide whether you call for me on Friday [page 1, left] or Saturday - I should merely prefer the latter day - if quite the same to you. I hope Miss Emily Taylor will still be in town & that I may have a chance of seeing a little more of her - & with compliments to your sister am [?]
dear Mrs Reid
most truly yours
Anna Jameson
[cross p. 1 right] I shall be charmed to meet Mr Kenyon & Mr Robinson on Saturday & to go with you to the Macaulays being also invite]
