Title

BC RF/103/4/27: Letter reporting on a stay with his old German friend Mr Schunk

Description

Letter reporting on a stay with his old German friend Mr Schunk, who introduced him to John Kenrick, Duckenfield Darbyshire, Samuel Robinson and Lord Belper. Expresses his disgust at the [Fremont] proclamation promising masters who stay loyal to the U.S.A. that they can keep their slaves forever, and speculates about the result of the 'interposition' of the European powers into the affairs of Mexico.
